newbie first laser build( need help)

hi guys i'm new to the forum.... i'm building a LM317 constant driver like the one in the picture but my laser diode is a M140. A single resistor value of 180 Ohms and the Pot is 500 ohms adjustable..... What will the Current output will be? and the output voltage? my input voltage is 7.2-9.0volts...
