Hi all 
Just thought I'd pop in and introduce myself.
My name's Jonathan and I'm living in Manchester in the UK. Bumped into the forum by accident and thought I'd join the good stuff
Anyway, I have an MPhys degree in Physics, and am now studying for an MSc in Photon Science and Lasers at Manchester University, with the aim of doing a Ph.D in something Lasers/spectroscopy/optics/photonics related.
Naturally, being interested in lasers, I want to own some as well! Currently have none, but that should change soon hopefully! Ultimately I'm looking to build a rig for cutting thin metal, but this will be an ongoing project.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone, and get stuck in with the stuff going on here
