Hello All!,

My name is Mike and I have only been here a short while. I joined a few weeks ago but forgot to intoduce myself! I joined for one reason and that is two be expoesed to folks that are enveloped with the same interest as myself. I am a Mechanical Engineer with a machining background (manual lathe, milling, CNC Lathe, VMC ,HMC, Etc. which i also have a degree in. When i was surfing the internet and stumbled upon LPF(literally stuble upon:p) I was like where has this been! Of course with my degree in the subject matter that it is my electronics knowledge is fairly limited :yabbem: I have already built a few starting of slow with a low power red and green laser builds one courtesy of Jayrob since i have limited access to machines.. but nonetheless! I am excited about being a part of what this community is doing and look forward to see what this community can create with the pool of technical knowledge and expertise i see!!:D

Hello and welcome to LPF, Mike! Good to have another possible *machinist* here in LPF. You could make some common aluminium heatsinks for aixiz modules, labby style and sell'em on the buy, sell & trade forum.
Beware with this 1.1W laser on your sig. BTW it is SurVival, it haves a typo (Sur ival). :D

Remember: Lase Safe, thats the only way to go far on this hobby. Post some pics of your lasers lasing and the community may welcome you better.

Multimedia section.
Reviews section if you want to give the laser a rating, you could do it for Garoq Survival Laser!

Thanks again! I'll have to make that a priority when i get home tonight! I'll post a review on my Garoq survival laser also, although I cant give any power rating assurances because i don't have an LPM yet.. but it's next on the list along with some Laserglow Glasses ;)

The goggles that Garoq is selling are pretty nice, I haven't tested personally, but for OD4 at 532nm, 405nm, 445nm and 473nm they are VERY nice for ~$40.
If you like then, you can get the goggles from OEM laser systems. The best ones IMO.

The LPM, you can get the radiant alpha for ~$100 (the cheaper).

I don't know what is the Laserglow manufacturer, but OEM are the best. Period.
(as many members stated)

The cost is similar.
