New Guy from ontario

Hello Everyone, new guy here as you can tell, i am from ontario. I have been reading alot for about a week now, and have already recieved alot of helpful pointers from people here and id like to say thanks for that.

A little about me, I am 23 years old, spent some time in the military, now working my way at getting into law enforcement. I have many hobbies, fishing hunting, remote control EVERYTHING. I have built a couple radios and computers. I am interested in stargazing and the paranormal. I have alot of audio experience everything from setting up custom home theaters and custom car audio to running recording studios. I started getting interested in lasers and am wanting to build one for wood burning along with some parlour tricks....nothing brings in the babes like burning garbage bags and electrical tape with a laser....right?

Most of the ladies IMO could care less about a laser burning tape or Gbags. My GF hates my lasers.

You know what else is fun to burn with a laser? Flash paper. There are entirely too many awesome things you can do with flash paper. Including (I may or may not have done this, I won't admit it, that's for sure) using a permanent marker blackened multiple layer stack of the paper to ignite Molotov cocktails in a beat up dead car in a field after shooting it with automatic weapons all day. Tripod, 400mw bluray. (ish, more like 390)

For the ignorant, flash paper is a stage prop, used for effects, it burns quickly, brightly, with no residue left behind (no ash, that is).

Flash paper is great. A friend of mine and me put it on my RC, painted it black a bit and tried to ignite it with a RPL-425 and a 1,2W 445nm while another one was flying the heli. i´m glad that I have more than enough safety glasses

I have loads of flash paper, and some flash cotton wool...thats stuff is very violent tho
