Hello, I've been fascinated with lasers since I was just a child way too long ago. In fact, I remember when the word was always written as "LASER". I grew up reading Popular Electronics and Electronics Now, always repeatedly poring over the issues dealing with lasers and holography. Amusingly, I did not pursue optics after school, going into IT instead, while my best friend since grade school works in the field of optics and lasers.
For all my reading and tinkering, I still consider myself quite the duffer.
I'm not sure how much I'll actually post, but I have been reading the forums quite a bit lately and have come up with some thoughts and questions I wanted to post, and thought it'd be a bit rude to just start asking questions without introducing myself.
