Hi my name is Mike, I've lurked the forums for a while. I go to UCF in florida and cars are my hobby, however I also enjoy lasers for stargazing/entertaining/pointing, etc. Not so much about burning things.
I've previously owned a 50mw focalprice laser (no where near 50mw in reality).
But it has burnt out and i'm looking to get a real 50-100 mw laser.
Blue would be the prefered color i'm looking for but purple/green are good too.
The new WL (don't turn this thread into flaming please) lasers look very tempting because they are such low price and in the past seem to be quality builds. I know they aren't shipped out yet so no one has hands on review, but I would like opinions on which would be the best to go for.
E2 Series -$50 100mw 405/532nm
the only thing that bothers me about these is 2.5mm @ aperture
Also appealing:
S1 Sonar Lunar - $90 200mw 405nm
1.5 divergence
1mm @ aperture
Or if anyone knows of a well built 50mw that will last.
Any advice or ideas of other lasers would be great!
