I wish every new member would get this kind of welcome, not only when a female joins the forums. A little disappointing IMHO.

But... But... I'm not Alaskan...

(Thanks for the compliment though!)

I've nearly made the same mistake a bunch of times due to your avatar. :p

Agreed ... or at least when someone with some recognizable level of intelligence joins...

I shouldn't have to say this, but here it is anyway: comments out of line will be removed, and a ban will be issued.

Having trouble figuring out what is out of line? There's a simple test for that. Before commenting, ask yourself, would you pose that same comment to your mother? If the answer is no then the comment is out of line.

Back on track now please.

Well preferably something in that range, but that just wouldn't work since the average score is only 98, I guess 90 would be about right, although most people shouldn't be allowed to drive anyway. I look forward to seeing the new self driving cars, I hope they will make it safer for both drivers and pedestrians.

Alan

I also look forward to self driving cars. I was taught how to drive by my stepfather, who was raised in NYC and drives just like it. I think myself a tad more conservative, but I'm definitely an aggressive driver by nature.
Always better to be a defensive driver :c

What a sleezy immature thing to say to a new member. What's with "ask her out dude" comments? No wonder we have so few women members when people like you act like they are here for men's entertainment. Is puberty just kicking in? Grow Up.
Hey VisibleGreen, didn't you just give a dissertation on forum etiquette over in the religion thread?

Personally I like you VG, I just find that a bit ironic and seemly divisive.

You don't have to defend it to me, I believe very strongly in freedom of speech, it's just something to think about.

I honestly did not take offense! It's always better to laugh than to take something personally. Thank you both for your concerns :)

Welcome Aboard.

Thanks! :3 I kind of like to envision some sort of craft when people welcome me to a forum by using the term "aboard." In this case, I'm thinking something like a floating pirate ship ^^

Agreed. It's pretty awkward. Welcome to the community though. Hope you enjoy it here, it's full of interesting threads :D

Thank you :D I'm super awkward, so it sounds like I'll do well here. If there is anything in life worth pursuing, I would think it new passions :)

And people if you couldn't already tell.

I can definitely tell :3 I got added to an lpf skype-group which I'm really liking, and of course I've met a few people on #laserchat to whom I would consider well worth speaking.

I like to think the majority of all people are polite and helpful :D
Thanks for the warm welcome!

Well, I would welcome other people, but it seems a little weird because I'm new myself :) Once I'm more seasoned and situated, I'll be sure to make a solid effort in welcoming others just as warmly as those which I have received.

Our pirate ship uses Laser cannons and Laser cutlasses. But since we promote eye safety no one wears any eye patches. Lol

I don't know what your problem is but you need to buzz off.

If you like me then why this comment? I said nothing wrong and even if I did who are you to point your finger?

Awkward but true ;)

The longest LPF intro thread has 301 posts. At this rate we'll beat it in no time.
