Hello all,

I just stumbled onto this forum and it seems like its full of all kinds of laser information (and geeks like myself). My name is Eric Martin. I am one of the founding members of The Eastern Paranormal Research Society. That said, you're probably wondering why I am here. I am interested in the potential uses of lasers in the field of paranormal research and investigation. I have a couple of ideas that are already taking shape which are based upon the principles of refraction and the visibility of various light wavelengths. This should be some pretty cool research! I'm looking forward to picking your brains!

Thanks,
Eric

Welcome! Can you tell more about this paranormal research? Sounds pretty interesting.

Well, in addition to EVP (electonic voice phenomenon) research, one of my other main interests is the visible (and invisible) wavelengths at which the paranormal anomalies (ghosts, if you will) appear. This is where the lasers come in. I'm looking to utilize UV to IR wavelength lasers to help determine at what wavelength these anomalies are visible/detectable. Early research has shown that anomalies commonly appear in both th UV and IR spectrums. The current method for "seeing" them is to use full spectrum photography. However, this method has several limitations. People also report "seeing things", so there are times at which these anomalies also appear in the visible spectrum. Therefore, we must cover a wide range, including the visible spectrum.
