Hi I'm Chris from the UK.
Almost got a laser whilst drunk on holiday - luckily didn't and got completely scared once I did some research here! After even more research, I got a 1mW 532nm laser from odicforce. I highly recommend getting a eye-safe low powered laser; it's amazing how easy it is to hit a reflective surface by mistake and end up with a laser in the eye!
I'm not so keen on wearing glasses (the beam where my interest is), so I'm mostly going for <5mW. But I will be getting a 50mW for pointing in the sky [but not at planes/etc]. I can't justify anything more powerful than 50mW - it's just doesn't seem safe.
I now have on order a 5mW 532nm laser and glasses from odicforce, and a 520nm 50mW (HL520-50) from laserbtb.
