Greetings to all forum members, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.
My name is Walt and I've recently become interested in lasers since acquiring a laser bore sighter for my fire arms. I also wanted to buy a laser scope sight but it's very difficult to get good green laser sights in Aus as we are limited to one mw or less.
Funny thing is that we can buy the most high powered unmounted module without a concern, so I purchased a 1mw red laser sighter and swapped the module out with a green 50mw DX module and it works very well. I know that the DX modules aren't what you'd call good quality and I confirmed this after removing the focus lens barrel to find that the expanding lens was way off centre, so I'm guessing that the diode and or crystal are also off centre but I may be corrected on this assumption.
As I'm new to this I only spent a few bucks but I can see how it can become addictive. I purchase this GD-350

laser host on evil bay for the purpose of building up a pointer, it seems to be fairly well made
and I have the facility to machine parts up to make things fit how they should. I have the assembly mostly sorted but I'm not so sure where the two O-rings are supposed to go as there are no instructions.
