Hey everyone

Hey everyone, just posting here since I am a new member. About a month ago was when I first stumbled across a youtube video of a laser pointer burning stuff ... and I'm not gonna lie I thought it was awesome. I did some googling about high power burning lasers and almost immediately found LPF, which I never previously knew existed. I(having ZERO background in anything laser related) just kind of started reading around the forum about general laser stuff and didn't really understand any of it at first, but after awhile I think I have achieved a basic understanding of lasers and their components. I hope to build lasers in the near future, so I thought it was a good idea to register on the forum. Any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm planning on contributing to the forum in the future as much as my limited knowledge will allow(but I promise not all of my posts will be this long). Thanks for reading. --Chris
