Hi all

I'm looking for a thread where it was explained how you can measure the wavelength of a laser by shining it between two razor blades and measuring the distancen between each point the interference generates.

Any idea where is it? I have already used the search.

Thankss

i believe it is only good for checking wavelength shifts. i don't think you can shine it through and say "hey, this is a 405" think about it you would need to be able to measure on scales of nanometers LoL

a good experiement you can do is put a 2 different colored lasers on perfectly on top of each other and put a double axis diffraction grating in front. then notice how the dots don't line up vertically but are shifted.

That is great! thanks for the link....i'll have to try this out. I am terrible at math but Xplorer877 makes it very clear.
