Tony, does it stay lazing if you bridge across from the battery to the host without the tail clicky on?

Nope. As i said, it only flashed on once or twice when i used a piece of metal out of my "dremel kit":p

It flashed on once also when i was putting the cap back on.

But the rest of the time...Nothing. Also i used my dmm to check if there was a current going from the neg battery to the host and there was(around 7.00) but it didn't lase when i did.

I would try disassembling it and then reassembling it, there is no harm in doing it, it might even work. :)

If you've tried unprotected batts and they aren't the issue, Id bet on a electrical contact issue in the head of the laser. Might be a short or insufficient case path. The issue you're having is similar to one I had with a torch. Cleaning out the threads and tightening everything up might fix it.

The driver is a 1.8a from survival laser. I did have one other 1.8a driver go bad and they replaced it for me when I sent it to him but they don't usually do that for drivers. Like I said in email if it is the driver I will buy a new one and a new pill with brass ring and send it to you if you want to put it together or you could send it back and I will fix it for you As I do give six month warrantys on my products

And cheers sixtee.. I may take you up on that.

Look on the end of the battery tube, it's probably the o-ring from it. If not, then you got yourself a bonus o-ring :D

But I am like LaZeRz I think it is a connectivity problem and I am like him I am thinking that you might want to disassemble the whole clicky switch and then put it back together and making sure it's tight, check the connect continuity between the center stem and outer part of the clicky

But if it was just the clicky wouldn't it work when i bridged it? Not just a flash but constantly?

On all the threads :D The thickest one goes into the retaining ring and stops the heat sink spinning around. Try bridging it again with some tin foil... and wear your glasses ;)

There should be an O-ring that's at the face of the Heatsink one behind the 1 inch tube near the pill and one at the tail clicky. I'm not sure if there's one inside detail clicking

I told you to check the switch before I saw that post saying it only briefly flashed. :p

That's why I said clean your contacts and check all connections in the head of the laser.

If you scroll up and watch the video I posted on my second post on this thread this page or the page right before it shows how to put the whole thing together and it shows the O-ring placements
