Im pretty new to lasers (currently just own couple of cheap <5mW red pointers). Im not new to electronics as it's my primary hobby, and after watching few youtube videos and the kipkays flashlight hack video (yeah i know.. the terrible non-regulated LD..), I thought lasers would be an interesting addition to my hobby. Might be a little expensive for me currently but .. we'll see
Your forum seems to be very active with good, mature members. Nicely written instructions and a lot of information otherwise hard to find as its scattered around internet 8) Reading the forum through for couple of days now and I've learnt loads of new stuff.
Currently I've ordered the "dilda-laser" from DX as it seemed most suitable for my interest and my wallet (I love blowing up stuff, why not burning) Don't get me wrong, Im very aware about the dangers of lasers and currently trying to find proper 650nm goggles. WickedShades ordered from stonetek.org seem like a good choice?? Just need to get info about the shipping prices now.
Im really enthusiastic macgyvering all kinds of DIY projects so when I get some more money I'll most probably make up something like the jayrob's MXDL-laser for myself.
