Actually hakzaw1 is right.

You might not find info on your specific lasers, but you´re going to get a feeling how much -mW- you can expect investing a -specific amount of cash- depending on the -wavelength.

For your safety goggle / IR question:

You win´t have to worry a lot about the IR in the 532nm lasers at lower power levels. It´s unfocused and unless you don´t pointing the laser directly into your goggles when wearing them, you won´t have any issues.
Honestly I like the the cheaper goggles more than the good expensive ones. Mostly they´re enough for reducing the beam power a lot (during burning, photosessions..) and protect you from "simple" (not mirrors) reflections. But you have to be much more careful. As we don´t know your goggles, there are a lot of crappy cheap fakes out there, you should be even more careful.

Again, you´re going to find loads of info on this forum if you take the time.

Shouldn´t be the case feeding you with specific answers while we see that you know only a very bit about lasers yet.
This could be a very dangerous hobby, do your basic reading, and everybody here is going to be happy to help you with the more specific stuff as good as we can :beer:

Wouldn't it be a good idea to buy 2 googles of the same, then glue them together for double protection?

you missed the point. He only posted here today. this thread is old. He did it to scold me. In his mind apparently I need punished because my searches don't produce the right results so I then ask on the forum and he's been following me around being mean IMO

good way to check how good your goggles are without a LPM is to just shine your laser through them, and see how bright the dot is on the other side. this also works for IR with a green since they dont block ir so by using a camera(iphones work pretty well) the amount of pink on the other side through the camera will let you know if it is a silly amount of IR. a good way to check for an ir filter is to take off the lens piece and look for a blue square of glass, that is the IR filter

Well, it's a difficult problem to identify if the quality reliable. But for sure sometimes you can buy good things with a cheaper cost. sometimes not. I didn't buy one so I cannot tell you if it is safe. maybe you can go to beltal.com to see, I think their products is ok and they accept Paypal. I often buy things on it.
