Hello from Canada

Hello! As you may have guessed already, I am from Canada. Ontario originally, but Nova Scotia temporarily. I am new to the laser community and I can say I am quite intrigued (and may have caught the laser bug). I already have a few types of lasers in mind that I would like, a ~ 500mW 405nm, a 445nm, and a 520nm. But the FIRST thing on my list to buy is... Glasses! I know everyone cannot stress that enough, and I value my 20/15 eyesight. I will probably start off buying complete lasers(or kits) and then start to build my own lasers. My brother works at a machine shop so I might eventually get him to make me some custom hosts as well.

So I am looking forward to starting a collection. Lasers really interest me!

Although they don't block IR so they're not recommended with green DPSS lasers.

If your brother works in a machine shop, that's an excellent opportunity to try out some custom hosts.

Thanks everyone. I'll be ordering my first laser soon. Going to start off with one of Blord's 500mW 405nm 501B. Can't wait to start building my own as well. :yh:
