Hi all!

My name is Trent, just joined the community. I've just started getting into lasers recently, kind of a new hobby. Definitely a noob haha.

So far I have a 200mw (claimed) 532 nm I ordered from laserpointerpro.com as well as a 5mw 445 nm I got from the same site. They arent the best quality but I didnt pay much for them. Gotta get started somewhere, right? On the way I have a Arctic Spyder 3 1W :lasergun: that I am very excited to get, comes on thursday! :D

I read some battery nightmares and got pretty scared. In haste I bought a Samsung ICR18650 2600mAh 3.7v off eBay, I hope it works out haha.

Anywho, thats just a smidge about me. Looking forward to getting to meet you guys!

Hey, thanks! Where exactly is Navarre? I can't say I've heard of that area before.

Welcome to the forum! Be sure to share pictures of what you have :) If you want to add your lasers to your signature, go to the "User CP" and click "Edit Signature" on the side bar. You can then get color codes appropriate to each wavelength via THIS converter tool.

I look forward to reading your threads....in the meantime, read up on laser safety and make sure and go through the stickies as they have useful information. Lase Responsibly and Have Fun!

Thanks guys! Looks like some safety glasses are my next purchase! My Arctic comes tomorrow so I'll throw up some pictures of what I have then. Thanks Issac I was wondering how you guys did that. I'll have to do it later when I can get on the forums from my laptop.

My Arctic just got here. I didnt have too high of expectations for it after reading on the forums, but I'm pretty impressed with it. Even low power mode is bright as balls. I haven't burnt anything with it yet because I don't have my laser shades yet (sssshhhhhh, I know I did it in the wrong order). I bought it used off eBay, manufacture date is June of 2011 so its one of the better quality G2s. Interestingly enough the Serial # is exactly 60000. So far I'm satisfied. Is the safety plug supposed to be so dang hard to pull out though? I had to pry it out with a flathead screwdriver.

Here's my other two lasers that I bought from laserpointerpro.

Top laser is my 5mW 405 and the bottom is my 200 mW 532. The 532 has the worst beam divergence I've ever seen. Pointed it at a tree from about 75 ft away and if you're standing next to the tree it looked like a flashlight. Haha.

Look through the aperture of the green one. You should see the lens with two slits; one on each side. Try adjusting that to alter the focus of your green laser. My guess is it just came a little off.

Thanks, I didnt even know you could do that! However I cant pull the cap from the host to access those slits, its put together surprisingly well... except for the button. :huh:
