Hello everyone, I'm Kadeg. I've already been lurking a while and reading some things, mostly safety, rules & etiquette, and how to start the addiction per se. I haven't filled out anything on my profile yet but will soon. I live in Colorado and I'm 20 years old just looking for something fun to learn from. I got interested from my girlfriend who started interning in a physics research lab doing some experimenting with the goal to see if angular orbital momentum (I think that's what it's called) has an effect on the speed of light. So by using a modified Epson projector as a form of laser (of all things) they're trying to reach a conclusion or at least a guess. (I'll do my best to explain more if anyone's interested)
Since then I've bought a China special 5mw 405nm handheld laser off eBay with a really loose focusing lense. It's absolute crap but who knew purple looked so good? My main interests in joining the forum is learning more about light, lasers, and the hardware involved. My true passion lies with computer hardware but who can pass up a laser? Also I need something else to throw thousands of dollars at.
I'm glad to have a community to learn from and hopefully I haven't done anything horribly wrong already, if so feel free to yell at me for not reading a sticky that I missed.
