Hello I’ve owned laser pointers from a young age. I train dogs, hike, fish, hunt, out in the northwest USA.
I want to learn about traveling with high powered flashlights and lasers.
Lastly I want to acquire a 1w 525nm guardian or a 1.6w 525nm challenger ii for use as an astronomy laser.

WLC to LPF! After owning a 1W red and a 1W green, I don't think green is a very good astronomy laser since it deactivates your eyes' natural night vision due to how bright it is. Red is a better choice, and can still do substantial burning.

Even a 500mW red laser can be highly visible once your eyes have adjusted to the dark, and it does not leave your eyes nearly as shocked
