NUGM04T after one year of use. I had previously read opinions that decaned diodes have a short life. From my experience I have 2 decaned diodes NUBM0E and NUGM04T and still work perfectly normal. The green NUGM04T was used the most. It works at 2.7A and outputs 2W of power. Its power is the same as on the first day. The same goes for NUBM0E. I must say that I very rarely remove the lenses, and this prevents moisture and dust from entering. I have put rubber rings that additionally protect against moisture. So 2 years old NUBM0E still works perfectly. NUGM04T one year old and still working perfectly

The greens hold up well de-canned but the blues I would say will crap out within 5 - 200 hours ( cumulative run time ), now I doubt you have put 100 hours of use on yours in a year as you have many lasers, but they are meant to have a 20,000 hour lifespan, de-canned they will never last even 500, usually much less.

If you want to conduct a real test then do a long term test, run 2 de-canned and 2 with GBall can intact at factory spec of 3.5A in a safe test with active cooling so they don't overheat and see how many hours they last de-canned, people in the laser projector business know it and have said as much, multi watt blues don't last when de-canned but for 1% or less of the time they should.

I have seen many de-canned NUBM05 and NUBM08 die after a few months of heavy daily use, maybe 50-100 hours.
