Hi! I'm pretty obsessed with lasers and have decided to build one.
I want to build one using this diode:
Osram PLTB450B 450nm 1.6W Blue

I have read that i should use 2 18650 batteries and what I'm wondering is what driver, lens and stuff i should use.

Thank you!

Hi,
SXD driver set to 1.8A , G2 lens in 12mm copper module prewired from DTR . Go to the site and choose your configuration its easy.
Then you will need a host to put it in.

Thanks for the reply! Isnt 1.8A a little much? I've read in the manual to the diode that the max operating current is 1.6.

I plan to 3d print a raygun from call of duty zombies and use it as host :)

Do you think i will need an additional headsink for the diode if i plan to feed the diode 1.5A?
I do not intend to keep it on for over 10 seconds straight. Also do i need 2 18650 or is 1 all i need?
