I.... I... did not expect THAT. Oof. Shows how little I know :D
I'm afraid it's difficult (much more difficult than diodes/DPSS) to do this yourself. The resonators would be possible (such as gas lasers) but I think that's really expensive too, and I've never heard of a DIY fiber laser :\...
Re: 110W "laser rainbow" opinions needed
Ah, okay. I'll admit I haven't seen professional high-power projectors myself, but I'm pretty sure they still are way smaller. I'd think these boxes have the resonator(s), lots of cooling and some optics in them. Not sure though, as this also is outside...
Re: 110W "laser rainbow" opinions needed
Ha, nice to see this pop up again. Did some very basic research on this some time ago, because 2015 is the Unesco year of light! :D
Anyway, here's their site:

As for "laser projector being...
I just came back from a re-giving activity at my uni and somehow ended up with a semi-working Hydrogen gas discharge tube. I don't have pics because my phone was dead and I left it at Uni to take a quick spectrum somewhere next week.
It's basically a big wooden box with a power cord, a knob...
Ha, that's cool! (Even cooler that it's Dutch =D )
Also love the cheap tower they made from the boxes.
Next step, high-power laser to blow all the hail balls to pieces. AFAIK, they only use gas cannons for now. Will probably disturb some pilots though :)
I'd be tempted to say yes due to my first link (300mW, 4x4cm). That one looks quite a bit heavier than small module. It does have more plastic instead of wood though, that might be related :)
Not these two ;)

300mW Desktop DIY Violet Laser Engraving Machine Picture CNC Printer Sale-Banggood.com
Bit difficult to find though :)
Looked over this again with some friends, seems they have 2 more versions:
One other with 300mW and what looks like much better heatsinking. Rest is very similar. 30% more expensive.
One with 300mW again, but now a 17*20cm area that can be engraved. 100% more expensive than the small 300mW one.
Wow, really have to follow this. Almost considered buying it right away for that price. Will probably wait for your review though. Does anyone have any idea whether the price / availability will (drastically) change soon? Not familiar with the site :)
Hey,
It's not the high quality you're looking for, but I recently bought a 405nm from DX (this one, if I remember correctly: Cheap 200281 5mW 405nm Blue-Violet Laser Pointer Pen - Black (3 x AAA)) and when I measured it it put out about 64mW, which would fall inside your range. For a few...
It's got about as much information as your post.
Granted, it's an empty thread and I agree it's useless, but this is exactly why some people here dislike you. Before clicking the reply button, think about whether your reply actually adds anything to the thread, except for your post count.
Just...
I would like to refer to your avatar once again.
I won't waste my time on answering all of your points, but
* I never claim all wavelengths are the same energy. I said 10mW = 10mW. You should know that 10mW = 10 milli-joules/second. So, a blue beam at 10mW will need less photons/sec to achieve...

?
That was my 520nm (granted, only 50mW) just before I killed it because i gave it too much current. The...
Dichro is short for Dichroic mirror - a mirror that will transmit certain colors while reflecting others. It's used to combine beams of different colors into one beam such as here:

Your avatar quite accurately represents my state of mind after reading your post.
You do know that "heat" IR is about 4-14 times longer than most lasers discussed here when it concerns IR? (around 4-14 um, instead of ~1064nm, and even then the red discussed is still far below that)
Basically...
Looking nice! For some reason, a Dutch news site even decided to report on it ;) (No offence, but this is hardly the first lasergadget someone has made, so I'm not sure why they cover one now ;) )
Anyway, enjoy your small page of fame!
