I have LM317 but it has too much voltage drop that can't be used with one battery , the 3.3 volts is on the high end but I'm planning on a big heat sink and making a burning laser with 250-300 watts so I think anything lower than 3.3 volts would be useless , also it came from the dvd writer...
I found this voltage regulator IC AP7217A-33 in the card of dvd writer , I read it's data sheet and think it's very good for use with the dvd burner LD and only one Li-ion is needed , but I'm not good with electronics and don't know how to limit the current , any ideas ?
I live in Iraq so the shipping would be too much...I found an op-amp in an old pc motherboard and found lots of lm1117 and made drivers with them but I don't like the power loss and the pot is getting burning hot when I use it don't know why I'm not good with electronics
Actually what i want to do is a diy module that can be used in focusing and collimation, i did it but with poor results cause i have alignment issues that cause a lot of loss in power , i didn't use the lens from the dvd sled yet cause I'm a little busy these days but I'm sure it can focus the...
Could I use the lens in dvd writer for collimating laser from diode? There is one single lens that is large enough to be practical in a pointer but i don't know if it's useful for collimation
