Hi everyone! Its good to be back. I'm sure I missed a lot of stuff while I was away due to various reasons. One of which was because the hobby is a bit expensive. I hope I could get back on track. With that out of the way, I'd like to ask help from the community. I'm building a strobe light...

You could do it using a big ass soldering iron or torch used for joining metals but of course remove the diode first. Like what the others said, its possible but not worth the hassle. Thermal epoxy is the way to go

Nice work. I like the sound of ported subs. Sealed boxes sound "deaf"

I use mineral oil. One small drop works just fine.

What took you so long to finish you 1st build? :D Shorten up the wires too.

Not bad. Stick a larger heatsink on the 317 for longer runtime. Are you using a plastic lens barrel? Has it not melted yet?

A better method is to place the glasses between the laser and an LPM but it will ruin pair unless its made of glass.

LM317 is limited to 1.5A with proper heatsinking. I don't see any in your setup. Did you test if it actually puts out 1.85A?

Asparagus? Btw, is that plant different from a rafflesia? They're both stinky though.
