I just came up with a great idea for the focus ring. I will be revising the current cone-shaped focus ring and making it much more unique (and possibly even easier to manufacture?).
I'm not sure if I want to include the tritium vials or not, but I have seem them around here in some pics before...
Thank you for all the nice comments guys. I realized I did forget one thing though. I forgot to put in a set screw for a heatsink. I'm thinking I should put two screws inside the head going up into the pill area. I also realized that I will have to slightly modify the focus ring since it...
I attempted my first host design in Autodesk Inventor today as I had a little free time. Please give me some advice as to what I should do to make it better or just feel free to give me whatever comments you want to.
This picture here ^ shows an 18650 battery inside of the host...
Almost exactly what I was thinking. Stupid people will buy a $5-$30 pointer and be like oh look it can light matches and then five seconds later point it in someones face thinking they are funny.
Re: ROUND 2!: THE "Skylaser" (laserBtB) groupbuy!
0.5Kg = 20USD
1.0Kg = 26USD
1.5Kg = 30USD
2.0KG = 33USD

Thanks once again for all the help, I am going to get the TN11. I will be ordering it within the next couple days.
If a moderator or staff member see this thread, you can close it.
Update: TN11 is ordered. I have 6 tenergy 750mah LiFePO4 (rcr123a) batteries on the way as well to go with it...
Thank you very much for all the help.
I appreciate the help from all of you here. Unless anyone tells me otherwise, I'm going to get the TN11 (Amazon.com: Thrunite TN11 LED flashlight, Cree XM-L LED,waterproof: Sports & Outdoors)
So here is what I am still interested in:
Thrunite TN11
JETBeam BC25
Which of those to is better, or, is there one that is relatively similar in size and is brighter and has better throw? I'm assuming both of those would be more than sufficient for my needs though.
Mostly everyday use, but I do go camping and go hiking. The longest I would have it on at a time is maybe an hour or so, so I'm assuming battery life shouldn't be a huge issue. I could always carry a couple extra 18650s and it wouldn't be a problem.
Thanks for the suggestions Infinitus and Ryan. I'm not looking for anything huge. I do like the looks of the Crelant V9CS. How does the JetBeam compare to it though? I like ordering from amazon much better than other sites since I get free two day shipping. If it's about the same I will just get...
Here is essentially what I am looking for in a new flashlight.
- LED
- Powered by rechargeable batteries (18650 preferred)
- Good for long distance use/good throw/little splash
- Less than $100
If someone could be so kind as to link me to or post a list of good brands that would be helpful as...
Where can I get one? I actually don't think that I would really want a 1W green just because of how bright that would be. Even 100mW of green is really bright. I would probably just run the diode at 500mW so it would hopefully never die. That's still extremely bright.
This is why I love reading threads here even if I don't have much to say here. There are some truly outstanding people on these forums who are honest and allow everyone to just enjoy the hobby as much as they do.
