@grainde hey, do you remember want info about these? I can’t remember how much I paid, how strong it is, etc haha. Also looking for some new batteries for it now if you have recommendations. 2015 feels like a lifetime ago now.
One of them I bought here in 2015 or so. I believe it’s called a Kryton something (made by a member here, anyone know who?). It’s the glowing one. The other one I bought used at a garage sale a few years back, the seller couldn’t tell me much about it. Both of them work. I seem to remember that...
I haven't had a chance to go yet, but I'm involved in the burner scene back here in L.A./O.C. Most of the people are at least 25+ in age and very cool/responsible. With regard to the safety of others anyway...most of them like to party and/or play with fire/gadgets though haha (myself included)...
I think I will go with the LaserGlow. Do you think the fitover style will work even if I don't wear glasses? They seem to offer more peripheral and they look better. They're only $79 with the discount and OD7+
These are the fitovers (as opposed to the sport style in the OP)...
I posted this in safety, but it doesn't seem like a popular forum, so I've only gotten one response. I would like some more opinions. Though they were regarded as the best, OEM is no longer in business.
Which of these do you think is best for a 3w 445nm laser? These are the most recommended...
There wasn't a word for the color blue in most early recorded history. There is debate that since no word existed, the color didn't exist (as it wasn't defined, you wouldn't associate it with being a unique color). In Homer's writings, he described the ocean as "wine-dark" colored, for example...
I've gotten a few opinions and read a lot, but would like some more opinions. Though they were regarded as the best, OEM is no longer in business.
Which of these do you think is best for a 3w 445nm laser? These are the most recommended currently available glasses I could find and the price...
They look almost the same haha are they more or less the same laser? (same host, same copper piece, same power, same wavelength?) Is one better than the other? Because I will wait until he makes more if so. :]
I love that they take CR123 because I get them for free at work (I work at a firearms...
I think I want this

That seems like a solid deal.
Cheaper than Lazerer, is it better quality?
Looks like it is way cheaper to build your own laser though (or rather, you get more power for the same cost).
Does anyone here build one offs for the cost of components and obviously decent compensation for their time?
Also, a bump to my previous question :]
Thanks for all the responses guys!
Is a violet/green 100mw laser on par with a 200mw red laser as far as burning/visibility.
I definitely think violet and green look cooler, but if the red is twice the power for the same price, I will go that route.
Ash, thanks for the links and safety glasses...
Wow Lazerer looks pretty good and reasonable.
Do any members here sell anything they build? I saw a poster that just built a 285mw laser for $16?
Hello,
I'm sure this gets posted once a week, but I did search extensively and didn't find any definitive answers.
I want an inexpensive laser for burning, which I suppose is in the 150-200mw range.
I don't care if it is blue/violet, red, or green. I've heard that blue/violet and red are much...
