I just got that great laser head that was coupled to a fiber. It was on a big rackmount case equipment of 75K $.. bnut declared scrap since few years and was accumulating dust at my uncle's work. He gaved me it and i removed the good components from it.
I kept the 15V 63A Lambda power supply...
Yeah.. I found these other post... but what i dont understand is that before to post it, i did a search with BMW and laser search words and found nothing!

Nice!!!
It seem that they are using 3 powerfull collimated UV/Blue laser diode to a yellow phosphorus substrat that reemit into white.. just like a white led do..
They say it's better because the best usable LM per watt of LED is 100lm compared to laser diode with 170lm for the white output...
Here we go!
I found a backup of the explanation :D

OK ok... but to work i had to put on also the switch 9
on mine it's:
dip switches 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 9 on and 8,10 to off
seem perfect to align all the 3 lasers for better colors...
it seem that the guy that assembled mine was lazy a bit:friend:
It is not perfect since i aligned them...
You mean.. Dip switch 1 and 7 ON and the rest OFF and it goes in test mode?
I tried on mine without any special result. dip ! ON = auto-beam... dip 1 and 7 = auto beam anyway...

Thanks Coconuts for the review.
The unit you received is almost EXACTLY the same as mine.
Except the chip with 30K 15C ?????
I thoughth that mine could be a 15K instead of 10 because it is 15K 7c.... but
i now doubt that this label really is the KPPS spec and colors...
BTW.. I realigned...
I have read that we can overdrive the RGB500 galvo from 7.5K to 15K ( with some risk of loosing details).. but i woudl like to know how we can perform the mod for overdriving?. is it a pot, a crystal or any other component to modify?..
