For that LM317 driver would 2 14500 battries be a good power supply?

Im borrowing a friends extra pair for a while since things take like 10-20 days to get here form 0-like.

True they are only designed for 5 mw or so but more often then not those 5mw diodes will last 15 - 20 hours putting out that much power. but he would have to let them cood down or they would burn out.

I understand the part about removing the pill and all that but where would I connect the negative battery end to the driver? The driver in the picture does not fit in the flashlight but I found a smaller one that looks very similer to that in a local electronics store. I had to use that one...

Recently I told my brother I would build him a 200 mw red laser. I ordered the parts online and got them about 3 days ago. I can not figure out how to attach the battry to the driver while keeping it in the host. driver and host: (sorry had to use online picks because my camera is not working)

If you want a cheap laser that shows up in fog go on ebay and order a bunch of those $5 green lasers. They show up slightly without fog and can easly be modded to output up to 100mw.

The lens dose the have a bit of dust on it so I'll look into how to clean it without damaging it.
