With a 2 watt blue laser, it starts burning anything pretty quickly. If I want to set the laser down and leave it on for a bit, what can I use as a sort of background to point it at, that won't burn? Any ideas?
I figured this might already be asked but I couldn't find anything when searching.
Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I have visited this forum. But I have been watching lots of laser videos lately and it sparked my interest again.
I have a blue laser already and now I have been looking at getting a green laser around 100mw. Of course green lasers are always more...
Just wondering what some practical uses for lasers are. I'm surprised by how big this community is considering it just seems like beams of light that we pretty much just wave around, or burn things if we have enough power. I mean hell it's pretty damn cool, I'm doing it too, but still.
I know...
I haven't built my own laser yet but I have these LED flashlights lying around and wanted to see if I could possibly use it as a host. They're small but I think it could work.
I just don't know how to even get the damn thing apart. All I can do is twist of the top to get access to the battery...
It's hard to buy from these websites, not having any idea if it will even be 500mw. If someone has one or could maybe make a custom one, I'd like to buy it.
Let me know the cost. I know it might be pricey, but I don't want to spend too much.
I was into lasers a lot a while back but eventually I seemed to have lost the 100mW green laser I had. It was awesome.
I'm planning to buy a new laser but I really want to ask about green vs blue.
I was looking at the wicked arctic, but found out they are way overhyped and aren't good at all...
Alright, so I bought a laser from LAZERER. Finally got here after almost 3 weeks. It's a 100 mW green laser. Unfortunately they didn't ship my goggles with it for some reason, so I emailed them about it, but until then I have no goggles. As for the laser, is there a way I can tell if it is at...
How can I test what mW my laser is outputting without a laser power meter?
Is there maybe something I can compare it to? Such as like length of time it takes to burn a match, etc? Or is that not gonna be very accurate?
Just wondering, I just ordered my first laser, and it's 100mW. I got a pair of goggles so that I don't make myself blind. But I was just wondering, if something just happened to go wrong, would glasses and/or contacts have any effect on the what the laser did to my eye?
For example, if I for...
Months ago I had posted on here asking about which laser to get and such, thinking I wanted a Spyder III, which is probably WAY to powerful for a first laser.
Everyone recommended to start off smaller. Someone had linked a 20mW that was only around $10, but they didn't ship to US so I couldn't...
Hey everyone, I'm new here.
I've been looking at lasers for a while now and I wanted to get a really cool one. I happened to come upon wickedlasers.com. I saw the Spyder III and thought it was really cool and saw some videos that looked really cool. But when I read comments and read this forum...
