It was the largest GTG we've had! Sadly there wasn't much representation from LPF. We had some crazy powerfull lasers there, ones that can burn wood, but sorry I don't know much about them. There is a bunch of pictures up at CPF

I hope so too! I need some of your expert knowledge, I should have a ND3 and ND5 that I'd like to know a little about. I build LED based spotting lights for hog hunting, and would like to use some of the ND5 technology.

Hey Guys, it's time again! I had a great time meeting a few of you last spring, I hope this is even bigger. We rented the pavilian to keep us out of the weather, and there are restrooms and outlets avaliable. DFW Texas Spring Flashapalooza 2012!! Sat. April, 21 2012 5:00 -10:00 PM (or so)...

Put that in laymen terms, sounds low to me, but how does that compare to regular Sanyo 2600 mAh cells? Is that lower resistance, or is there a downside of having such large capacity cells? I had a great time anyway, maybe I should rent a small pavilion in one of their other parks for next time!

Thanks again for all that made it!! Too bad we had to change the location at the last minute, but it all worked out in the end. Thanks for all the help and patience, and especially for the good food! Here are a few pictures, if you have more please post them here, or get them to me so I can...

Is Pizza OK? I don't know of any good in the area, but It would be easier than grilling. The night seems to go too quick if I'm running the grill. I can wait till most of us have arrived, and have the delivery driver bring them. I'm open to other suggestions.

2 weeks! I'm glad to see there will be a few new members attending! We'll have to talk about putting something even larger in the fall. Sorry I didn't have the chance to get a bigger event planned this time, just too busy with family events.

I just talked to Arlington Park, there are still other parks with pavilions with electricity and restrooms if you think we'll need it. The last place we used has great distant views for high power stuff, so it really wasn't an issue, and it's free. I think we'll be getting pizza, and bring...

I'm not talking UV, the Laser Genetics are 532 nanometers wavelength. Green LED's are typically 520-535nm - Wavelength, so they are clearly visible.

I'm guessing they are using the wrong terminology. Here is one called the Bsa Optics Laser Genetics Nd-3. In their ad they call it a Laser Designator, but it appears to be a laser with a beam expander. Take a look at it in action. Here is a link to the video Here is a description Sounds...

Anyone have a laser designator? The guys I work with want them for nighttime hog hunting, and want me to build a few. Is it a laser with a beam expander? Anyone have an example they can bring so I can get some ideas? EDIT: I have a few builds with a green LED's with aspheric condenser lenses I...

There is no cost involved this time, the south pavilion is first come first serve, so I'll get there early. We can arrange something if you want, I could get some bumper-stickers or some type of door prize, but have nothing in mind right now.

We've never left the park before 11PM, but the gates close to new visitors. There's ways around that
