If you've been on the forum for a month, you should have come across some information regarding your inquiries.
Just so you know, a nice green laser just under 1W will cost you heaps. Over a grand most likely. Here's an article about buying your first green laser...
And even in the case where it's more than 30% IR...
...meaning it's not as collimated as the green light, so much of the IR light wouldn't even enter your eyes if you shine the laser straight at them (JUST AN EXAMPLE, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS).
Okay, this is just getting out of hand now.
With all this controversy, you're all forgetting the main reason to buy one of these fine lasers. To enjoy it.
I don't care if my laser is labeled "clearance" or "premium" on this forum. It's absolutely, 100%, prime in my eyes.
Thanks for the info Boot! Regardless, I still love my laser. And it's average/peak is still amazing. :yh:
No, I don't know anyone with an LPM close to me. And it'd be hard for me to even let this thing go away for some time just to get tested. I'm having too much fun with it.
I just ran it for maybe 20 seconds (still not comfortable with it yet! Just getting a feel for the baby) and I sense none to hardly any heat at all. If there is heat, it's well displaced and I can't really even tell it's there. I'll try to run it until it gets warm, but not quite yet!
No LPM...
Nope, haven't tried to burn anything yet. Glasses haven't come in yet. I've only aimed it at this non-reflective black surface and the sky so far. Not going to risk it. I've been keeping it well under 30 seconds! I don't really like to keep my lasers on anyway. Won't calculate beam specs until I...
Haha, this is definitely a keeper for the time being. As long as I don't really need the money, this laser will be safely stashed in it's aluminum case or outside being used by me! (Of course, using the recommended 30 second on/off duty cycle, or probably even shorter on times!)
Here is a review for the Nova Lasers Endeavor-275.

Here's the official testing which I requested. As you can see, I happened to receive an EXCEPTIONALLY overspec model. This thing is a...
Good to know!
I ordered using UPS 6-12 day ground shipping, and it actually should have been here by now (in less than 6 days) judging from the UPS tracking, but I screwed up with my order. I sent it to my new address at College, but put the wrong zip code; I used my house's. :undecided: This...
Check this one out: X75 Compact Portable >75mW Laser - X-Series - Novalasers Inc.
It's not 100mW like the ones you posted, but it has an ir filter so it likely puts out more green than the ones you showed (which might be underspec anyway). Plus, it'll almost certainly come out overspec (the...
You should still be more worried about the 532nm wavelength. It's generally much stronger than the infrared output in DPSS lasers (unless your laser is really jacked up, but you'd know it if it were) and much more collimated. And if you're not spending more than $200 on a laser without an...
Thanks for the info, can't wait to see the v6! Did he give any estimate of when it'll be released (though I'm sure he hasn't since they're not even developed yet, I was just wondering)?
Today, Millville (South Jersey, 45 minutes away from Cherry Hill). Tomorrow, Rutgers University, New Brunswick/Piscataway (incoming freshman). :D
Edit: I didn't even see the referral program they had ("For every new customer that you refer to our store you will receive 10% worth of their first...
