Here's the thing, mate. I'm twelve. I'm a huge tech geek, and already have built a PHR - 803T Blu-Ray. I Am getting a project box for that today. Anyways, ya. Could you give me some info on how to build a red laseR?
Well, here we go again... another build from...you guessed it...ME!!!!
Anyways.....I'm shootin' for a high powered Red Laser this time. Nothing too high, just something that can do average burning. You know, light matches, pop balloons, cut tape, light fireworks, and see the beam in daylight. So...
Ok, So I haven't been on in a while. Anyways, back to the point.
Hey guys. Guess What! I have officially sCrEwEd:gun: the battery holder for my Blu-Ray laser that I built a while back. It;s just been sitting in my drawer for a while. Anyways, I was putting in the batteries and the Negative...
Hello all!
First of all, I would like to say I have finally got my internet working and am back on LPF!
Let's get to the point.
My PHR was working fine until about a week ago when the contacts on the back end of the battery housing popped out when I was inserting batteries.
I got it back in, but...
I have recently finished my laser test load for red lasers.
I just wanted to verify that I build it correctly.
The top side: 4 1N40001 diodes in a line on a breadboard, then 1 lead from the last diode to a 10 ohm resistor.I have leads from the resistor and from the diodes to connect them to...
Yes, I do know that dr-ebert. I did just stumble across LPF and now I love it here.
I am sorry for this post.I didn't realize that people have posted this before.I just wanted the newcomers to know about this.
Blue lasers, really? That's pretty cool.4 months and it working fine? You must use it...
First of all I wanted to state that I did NOT do kipkay's laser hack because of the fact that it kills the diode.
Yes, I did say it kills the diode. What happens is without a driver, a laser diode has no limited current.
The bad thing is is that when an LD draws current, it begins to heat up...
Actually, you're right.Still, I Did ask questions like this when i started here, and I have learned enough about lasers so I shared my knowledge.
BTW connor, what do you plan on doing for your next build?
It's a laser lighter.Rog8811 made the first laser lighter.Just because it's a fliptop lighter doesn't mean its any different than a BIC lighter except for it's style, therefore Kipkay baisically copied rog8811.
You are very welcome.I remember my first days here, and i had questions just like this.
Remember, always Use the search button before you post anything. Also, try to edit your threads to make one reflect all of your questions.Just my 2 cents.:)
