At all of the concert's I've gone to around here they have metal detectors, some have X-ray machines for bags, and some of them make you empty your pockets and briefly search you (depending on how long the line is). Between the case and the batteries it would set off a metal detector. You could...

You could also buy an IR flashlight. Search Infrared Flashlight on Google Products.
I agree. He probably wants you to shine it at him so he can come up with some bullshit sob story about how he almost crashed the helicopter so he can get 2 weeks paid vacation.
It's not illegal to have your laser on your property, just to use it irresponsibly (I think). I would have just held...
You could focus it -- not hard. I'm not sure how powerful it would be, definitely blinding if it already hurts your eyes. Take it apart and experiment with different optics and things like that till you get it focused. In addition, you could also try running more power though the LED to make...
I think you confused a laser mouse with an optical mouse. Optical mice have an LED that tracks motion, such LEDs are red light. As I said, true laser mice operate in IR.
EDIT: you might be on to something though, try focusing that light and it might become pretty powerful. I don't really know...
Re: How much more mW does incense/fog add to a las
Actually, wouldn't it cut down on the power of the laser at its destination? As you know, you cannot see light, just what it reflects off of. When you add smoke or fog, you see the beam because it is reflecting off of those particles. Thats why...
Wiki says computer mice operate in inferred light, so the beam/dot will not be visible, however you could burn stuff with it. I'm pretty sure you could take it out and use it, just give it a driver, heatsink, case, and whatever else I am forgetting. As far as how, taking it out is pretty much a...
A red <5mW completely temporaroly blineded two people at least 25 feet away (I'm guessing)? I find that hard to believe. I'll bet the lights that mark the landing pad are brighter than that. Although that still does not justify what he did! Even thought it didn't and probably couldn't have...
If we are requiring licenses for lasers, why don't we require a license for anything else that could be used offensively. Hmm... let's see... we will start out with forks and knives since you could stab someone with them, so we'll have to eat with our hands. Anything glass cause you could break...
I'm responsible with my laser. I don't shine it at planes or cars or anything like that. I wouldn't be able to have one though because I am under 18, why punish me for other idiots' actions, who are going to find ways around it anyway?
She says:
For legal import into the United States under FDA regulations a >5mW laser must have a five-point safety feature system (aperture shutter, interlock, key switch, output delay and indicator LED).
Not:
For legal import into the United States under FDA regulations a >5mW laser must...
Do you mean like lens cleaner for glasses, or camera lenses, or do they sell it specifically for lasers? I guess a lens is a lens is a lens though.
I have some glasses lens cleaner and one of the microfiber cloths they give you when you buy your glasses, will they work?
Plus I'm not sure how...
I am thinking it has a dirty or scratched lens. I have tried using compressed air to clean the lens, no dice. I haven't had it for very long and I haven't put anything down the aperature that would scratch the lens. It is still under the three month warranty, should I send it back to Nova and...
