thanks! it was a temperature problem... damn new england cold.... if i leave it on for about 30 sec, it returned to normal, and if i leave it off for a few minutes, it needs to warm up again. does that sound about right?
my dealextreme true 20 mw green laser is acting weird. i just got it yesterday, and when i turn it on its really bright, but after about 3 seconds it becomes dim and the dot becomes less focused. does anyone know what could be causing this and how i can fix it?
well, yes. but around 450nm, in the green spectrum is what our eyes perceive as most visible, while any color with a higher or lower nm is less visible to us.
i k but then what am i going to to with the module without a lens? plus, thats a waste of money on something i don't need, i would much rather just buy the lens for cheaper.

its me at my high school talent show. i HAD a band but they all chickened out. >:( i should have had a laser show going... darn why don't i think of these things sooner!
where can i get glass lenses that fit the aixiz? i really don't want to replace the whole module, its glued into a heatsink and then a project enclosure.
i am finished with my diy red, but there is some stringy looking artifacts around the laser dot. when i looked closely at the aixiz lens, there were some small scratches. how should i go about removing these scratches from the lens?
for a good burning laser u should probably go with red because its much cheaper than green. its the very cheapest if u make ur own. how to do that is this link here: http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1185701612;start=all
its very easy and cheap! it costs about 60 dollars TOPS...
thats pretty cool, i got to watch one of these things at a science and technology convention here in Connecticut. they were giving out small metal plates with little pictures engraved on them with the laser, i got one with a car on it ;D
i was 12.
k i have the whole thing assembled, and its completely AWESOME! it burns like nothing else! only thing is, it could be better. somehow, my aixiz lens got slightly scratched and its making some unwanted artifacts around my laser dot on the wall. does anyone have any suggestions as to how i should...
