    What lights do you have?

Guess it's time for an update. I've long since moved away from the cheap Chinese lights, and now love and use a Zebralight SC600W every day. I feel like this could be the last flashlight I ever buy. Easily fits in my pocket, nice color tone, and goes from <1 lumen to over 650 if I need.

    Batteries....18650 style

Chinese cells often have exaggerated capacity claims. A quality battery would trump any Ultrafire, but in theory, yes more capacity is better. Personally, I'm content with my 2400mAh protected Trustfires.

    Green Laser Guide

As some of you may know, I wrote a guide on buying green lasers over 2 years ago; if you don't, here's the link: http://laserpointerforums.com/f45/guide-buying-your-first-green-laser-30608.html. Up until early this year I tried to make sure it was always up to date. Now, however, I've sort of...

    laser or reef tank?

I say go for the reef. Getting it all right and admiring it will provide more hours of entertainment than the laser.

A Guide To Buying Your First Green Laser

I would take that question somewhere else. Do a forum search and if nothing turns up, start a new thread in this section. It will get a lot more attention that way.

2-look really isn't that hard. There's only 8 algorithms for the OLL, correct?

Good luck! BTW I don't even use the full OLL or PLL, they're way too much work to memorize haha.

Yeah, I use CRC for everything. If you haven't lubed it yet, the difference will be amazing, like switching from the Rubik's. Get this one: http://www.crcindustries.com/catalog/images/Lubricant%20and%20Penetrant/05074.jpg It's only about 2$ at Wal-mart.

Wow, you're lucky to have that much space to work with! I can see why you needed binoculars haha.

Good for you then! That does sound like really good divergence, without knowing what the measurement at the laser aperture was.

The thing is, I'm pretty sure what you did was totally unnecessary. You could easily calculate the divergence with 10 feet of space, and probably even get a better measurement because you can measure the beam with a ruler or something like that. Pseudonomen137's mRad calculator is really nice...

Was the laser shining through the binoculars? That part confused me.

Yeah, it seems like you've already assumed that position too! It's just a thread, so anyone can help, it just seems that a lot of the questions are directed at me so I try to get to them ASAP. Even though I forget sometimes. :P

Overall yeah, but it depends on what you want. Torch-style and pen-style lasers don't really compare.
