Hey guys,
Just wondering what precautions you guys take to avoid electro static discharge when using laser modules.
Not talking about when soldering diodes etc... but for regular everyday use. Is ESD an issue... or are most built to handle it?
Surely you can't be expected to periodically...
Hey,
So I've got my user/pass info saved in my browser. I also use the "remember me" option so I don't have to logon at all, but I often need to clear cookies for whatever reason.
The logon box looks like this:

According to one of our respected forum members, GooeyGus, they do not:
Questions: Is this accurate? Would it be as effective as a conventional IR filter (for a green)? I was under the impression that both greens and blues had a 2.5W pump diode, so how can blue be dealing with more pump power?

I know from personal experience that when I'm directly behind a beam it's more visible than when I am standing away to the side. And I've been told that it's even more bright when it's shining towards you (as opposed to shining away from you). So in theory, if the beam is not shining...
Legality
Hi guys.
There doesn't seem to be any real information on the legality of lasers in NSW (at least I couldn't find anything official). I called up my local cop shop and the guy basically had no idea. I still don't know if I need a weapons license to own one or not.
Here's the best...
Greetings fellow laser enthusiasts!
So what's the deal with diode lifespan? For example, say a diode is rated with an expected lifespans of 6000 hours.
I mean sure, that's a lot. If used an hour a day every day, that's like 16 years -- which is ages.
But if it was left on 24/7 that's less...
