Yeah! we have to learn from our mistakes, and yet there's hope for all laser builder's to make a working laser, in my experience, the first i build laser project i killed one my 20x LOC from LG DVD burner by accidentally bump my table and the 20xLOC project was totally drop in a pack of impact...

great ,so it means my heatsink was enough, and the thing i need to worry is the contact between LD and the actual heatsink including the metal surrounds and the body, right? so the heatsink must be tight enough with the LD so it will last. please check my host if i need to add another aluminum...

Guys do you have estimated safest value of a resistor when you put it in parallel with capacitor? :-/, is it the parallel resistor lessen the needed current of LD from the driver? ;)or it was only used to discharge the capacitor? just need simple guide for this one, cuz ive been using DDL Driver...

I already modified my PS3 bluray to its peak range of current, it seems it is a freak BRLD, i dont know why it light the match, i dont have any laser power meter to test it, so i dont know what was the mW of this, im just using basic DDL driver and 3 rcr123a input, i dont test the current flow...
