Got it sorted out I think. I figured out that the diode has a voltage drop of 5.5V. So I bumped up the input voltage on my driver to 7V just in case and now I'm pushing this thing to 230mA and got 200mW on the dot! more than 230mA and the output power will drop instead of going up. I know, it's...

I'm actually running the diode using my home made (modified Die4Drive) current adjustable power supply capable of supplying between 4mA ~ 5A. This PSU has a very low voltage drop as far as I can see. Input is from PC PSU which is around 5.2V and my home made PSU is giving out 5V on the output...

Greetings from Australia. Received mine yesterday. Now, this is my first attempt playing around with Blu-ray diodes. What kind of voltage should I run them on? Tried 5V and I can only push them as far as 90mA and got 60mW out of it. Does this sounds normal? What voltage do you guys run yours at...

Definitely that's a ripoff mate. Well not completely despite its ending price. No offense Cyparagon, but that laser sounds like a POS to me. Sounds like you're being sold with a 500mW laser that's advertised as a 1W unit. Not a stable or good quality one either. Proper 1W green should be giving...
