thanks everyone for the help and no problem with calling me an idiot, i would have done the same in the scenario. haha its incredible how polite everyone is here as oppose to the rest of the internet.
I have an old host from jayrob on a build that never worked out, so i plan on buying...
alright not a huge fan of the hostility on this, but i did have a total brain fart. what i thought was the focusing knob was actually the lens you screw off to replace it with other ones. There is a ring lower than that one, and it took some serious force to unlodge it, but once i was able to it...
thanks ill look into it, my only hesitation is that id have to buy another pair of goggles for the wavelenght, but if the total is reasonable ill do it, and report my findings
So i recieved a laser from lazerer today, shipping took a while but its from china so what can i expect. Its a 200mW red pointer, i expected it to be able to burn alot of things. At least black objects, but the diameter of the dot is pretty wide, i cant focus it, and when i pointed it at a black...

what do you think about this one? its price makes me think its up to spec and with a half off cupon it can be a steal, however its dino direct which is frequently under spec:
Firedragon-III 532nm 300mW Flashlight Style Elite Green Laser Pointer Kit (Certified Power Guaranteed) - DinoDirect.com
oh shit didnt realize i stole his, sorry ill change it, yeah severs are expensive i just find it funny cuz tj has like a link to a bunch of reasons not to get the arctic
thanks guys, ill go with o-like.
and whats wrong with mah avatar?!
i also find it really funny/ironic that there is a a wicked lasers add at the bottom of this page
so im between buying two different lasers. one is from o like and the other is from rayfoss. they are both just under $200
im looking for something as close to spec as possible, and preferably 300mW or higher.
the one from o-like is apparently 400mW:
400mW green laser torch...
okay, i got one from gadget town and i think its probs around 100 or so because it only lights matches with black sharpie on them. it was advertiesed at 200
Ive been look for a while, and i was wondering if i can buy a 200mw or higher green pointer for under 75$
I'm pretty sure this might be impossible, but if any one knows that would be awsome.
thanks!
thanks, I'm doing this for a senior project in school, and i have several other to complete, so as soon as i am done them i will be able to start ordering parts.
thanks for the help!
