What would be the best heatsink then?. I need it a little bit small to fit in my box. And I figured I needed to heat sink it. Noob mistake :( hopefully no damage done.
So i have made a 1W laser diode circuit and gotten the driver the 18650 battery and everything else needed...however i have a problem after about 6 seconds of use the driver gets very hot and the diode dims extremely dim..Im using a flex drive V5 set to 1A. anyone help? i took some pics and a...
Hey, I was wondering if you have any drivers for sale that can put out a constant 1A current to drive a 445nm diode? I am interested in purchasing one.
Thanks, chris
Yes im using a 445nm blue laser diode. And to set the output, i swap out the diode for 6 1N5404 diodes and a 1Ohm 10W resistor, and measure the Millivolts across the resistor, and i got around 850-900 mV.

Unfortunately there's not much info....in looking into a new driver
Hey all,
So i bought an off-brand 1w laser driver on ebay a while ago, and i installed it wired everything up, and used 2 18650 Rechargable batteried. The batteries are fully charged, but when i use my laser it puts full power out for about 4-6 seconds then gets less and less bright until...

Its this one, I contacted the sell about it and he just told me that its 1000ma out at 4 - 6 volts. And to instead get a 18650 battery. I've been tying to find a driver with the leads already...
It is a 5%. And as far as measuring it. My meter says 1.0. So its not very accurate? I ordered a 18659 battery the other day,do you thing that will affect it at all or do you think its the driver?
hey all,
I recently bought a 1W 445nm Blue laser diode, the driver and barrel and all the goodies to put the thing together. However, i am using two CR123 Li batteries, and when i test the driver with the dummy load, im only getting 100ma when i measure across the resistor, but when i use...
