Greg,
I also hope that I have not been an antagonist. I posted once saying that mine had not arrived only because I
thought that you were (or someone was) trying to find out who had and had not received theirs because of postal
problems.
I, also, will take mine as kit-form if they have not...
I also would like to get on the next 'priority list' when appropriate. I am very interested in
something the can be guided by fiber optics and burn wood ala the youtube video some
time ago.
Got my kit in the mail today. It is now built and have done some preliminary tests. Seems to be working just fine.
I have configured mine for the 'optional' config and have not tested that part. I did my preliminary tests using
hypertrm and just putting my thumb on the sensor. Numbers go up and...
I would opt for the best hardware solution possible and keep the software simple. If a cap will solve a jitter problem
I would go for that. Deadband may be another problem.
can we fully populate the board and just add a jumper for the shunt resistor? I'm thinking if we could just have 2 - 3 jumpers to create high range or power out .... that way I can change my mind without a soldering iron :-)
I have taken some pics. I don't think that I have enough posts to post a picture
My pics are 1600x1200 jpg's ranging from 770 kb to 1mb. What form should these
be in and would anyone be willing to post 1 external and 1 internal pic.
thanks,
dkelley
Yahooo!!!. I got my thermopile last night. Today I have a working laser power meter. I used the Radio Shak #270-1806
(6x4x2) box and put the thermopile and all electronics in the same box. Seems to work very well. Thanks for the putting
together the project with parts. Also thanks for the idea...
Re: potential glasses GB? **22 interest so far!**
Not to nitpick but are these glasses or goggles that will go over prescription glasses? Is there a link to show what these will look like? (don't need pretty, just protection) :-)
