As long as the young folks stick around here, I think they'll pick it all up quick enough. I'm glad my friends are slowly being drawn into my hobby. The more, the merrier. As long as we all can see.

I'm 28 - somewhat surprised at the age distribution, a lot more <18 than I expected (primarily considering things like the expense). Though I guess younger people do have more time, whereas for me it's a minor miracle that I find a couple hours to work on anything (not related to my employer that is).

yeah im a bit fearful for those who are a bit young. mainly 14- no offence to them but the first thing that pops into my head is the kid on youtube, He pulls out a laser that "200mW" or so and starts burning stuff without laser protection or anything..

I am really surprised at how many whippersnappers are on here. I didn't think that many people under 18 would be on here because of the legality of lasers coupled with the often bad judgement of teenagers with high powered weapons.
