I call my friends, idiots all the time. It's a mutual understanding. I do disagree with his laser safety practises (which he is aware of) but his electrical knowledge is first class.

I've seen a few of his videos....
All he wants to do is destroy stuff like a 6 year old...
Too bad he has access to materials that a 6 year old does
not.
He is not a scientist and doesn't impress me... It could be
considered entertainment... but that's all... IMO
I just saw his "farewell" video... at 4:48 it seems he got a
reflection of the Laser in his right eye and almost again at
4:49 (you can see the beam profile on the wall just left of
his head).
Only a MORON would shine a 1 Watt Laser at a reflective
glass lens and stand in the way of the reflected beam
WITHOUT eye protection...
Good riddance... IMO

We did call him an idiot, what do you expect from the guy?
Anyway I am glad that thread got started because I didn't know about photon before that and I got a lot of enjoyment from what he did.
The guy was a genius and I looked forward to seeing new videos from him.
I guess I understand his frustrations and I can understand why he did what he did, it's just sad that it had to end.

Ever heard of the geek group ? they call what they do also "science" and what they do is not even entertaining , a few tesla coils , running 80Kv trough a plastic doll and crap like that STUPID chris boden with his rotten teeth , Photonicinduction atleast does stuff in a funny way and build cool things.

People need to stop reposting his crap... Sure they were great videos and we all love them but they are still his videos and people should cut it out..
I hope he will come back and give us some new content when he has time but I totally respect what he's trying to do... I don't know why it took him several years to realize that what he was doing is dangerous when attempted by armatures and he did often brush off safety as if it was a joke... I understood he was just being his own funny self (which is why I enjoyed watching him) but some people don't and will go do stupid things and kill themselves.

Crap ill have to think about the name but it was the guy with the tesla coil etc. He talked about how that wasn't why he left YouTube and he was just annoyed that they good thousands in funding and they just blow shit up like photon....
