yes it's a needle beam alright, however I have a green pen with a beam just as thin. It's a freak of nature really.

I'm aware I suck at photography, but here's a shot with most of my blue/green wavelengths. I aligned all the dots on the wall (big dot on the right) and took the picture with a diffraction grating in front of the camera.
Both the 445nm and the 462nm are severely underdriven (the 462nm is just above threshold) and therefore probably lower than the nominal WL values.
It's funny how the 405nm looks almost pink when close to the other blues, and how the 473nm looks slightly greenish if I leave only the three blues on.
Also note the big gap where 488nm ought to be.

That's my poor man rainbow, 405nm, 532nm and 650nm. Got the 405nm LD for U$2,00 from a trashed blu-ray drive!
Was needed a lot of fog to make the 405nm laser visible, and my camera seems that don't like it!
650nm: 250mW; 532: 75mW; 405nm: ?mW.

no thanks :tinfoil: but I will be selling one of those monster uniphase tubes as soon as I get a couple new power supplies for them. as well as some smaller ones. I gotta finish paying off my 589 and put some money back in the bank to pay bills

Beautiful photos very well done, what's the wavy reflection surface below the beams? Makes a very neat effect. Also nice matching set, I still want my rgbv matching set.

A 1W+ RBGV set would be very nice. These are single mode low power units; the Ti-B's aren't really made for high power.

Looked almost like they were sitting on the garage floor. The long exposure pond shot is beautiful too man, I want to get into photography !
