Last month an astronomy club member asked for a laser pen specificlly made from copper. The plan is to put one of Techhoods 100mW modules in drill through the side for a side switch. Run off 1 lipo.

Anyone have an extra sinner pen host or can any of you machinist turn one out? I emailed techhood for the details of his modules(dimensions, switch etc. )

Thanks
Jefferson

Pretty much same, as the last run. They are 2-10440 batteries, but only this time. it has a set screw. I was originally thinking of a side clicky but it is not possible with this design. However i do plan to make a 2-14500 side clicky pen.. just a matter of time.

Just get a fasttech module, exact same thing but its only 5$.

Is it rated at 100mW? I'll check it out. The techhood module does not have a momentary built into the drive it does however run off 3.7v. If I bought a host for 2x 10440 I could use one 10440 battery and solder a switch to the back of the module. IIRC lighting stalker is selling some switches that might fit. I didnt get the over all dimension yet from TH.

Sinner that host looks super awesome!

Who cares what they are rated at, they are all the exact same thing. Same diode, crystals, everything.

I know you can't really go by the picture because the picture seems generic but how do you set these? In the photos they appear to be alittle different. In one photo I see a POT. Apparently one has a spring soldered on and one doesn't.
Hmm
You'll have to excuse me DPSS modules are new to me typically I just go with the direct diode 520nm

I have an extra sinner pen host or two I can part with.
I have acquired one already and I might pick up one of these new designs.

:thanks: ! If I need another ill let you know.
