I was browsing ebay a while back and found a really cheap LED Pen. I thought it looked cool and for the price I decided to grab it. Turns out it was perfect without the module back piece. The white piece was part of the LED pen. I ran a wire through it and attached a small spring I had from another project. I could have used a larger one that was with the LED pen but I liked the little one I had better. I cut the larger spring that came with the pen and used it for a negative case contact and followed up with heatshrink tube. It fit in like a glove, with a small bit a force. II added a red hair tie to fill the gap on the tip.
I have yet to test it. I need to find the AAA size 4.2v battery. I think its the 10440. I see no reason as to why it wouldn't work. I'll update once I very it works.
Thanks to 10fenny for the module!
This module was in a m&m's mini's container as a host prior. It was garbage. It worked well though... Until it didn't.
