I'm considering doing a 6W+ NUBM44 450nm build @ 3.5A. I'm thinking about using the S4X host-

S4X? Host Assembly

Anyone have any experience with this host?

I don't think anyone has experience with it yet.

It appears to be available only as a pre-order which mean none have been delivered yet.

It's going to be a very nice host with excellent heatsinking capability.

Give Gary at Survival Lasers a call to find out when the S4X will be available to ship and how well it will work in your application. He is a good guy and won't steer you wrong.

What's weird is I searched "S4X" and nothing came up.

Hi,
They are listed on his website I ordered one with all the options last night.
just waiting now for a delivery notice. Its an awesome host, Just a larger version of his regular S4 . But being the host is much larger the full copper heat sink will distribute the heat through out the Aluminum host better than the smaller models. All the bells and whistles is around $70.00. Upon code LPF445 And you can deduct 10% of the top. Cant wait to get mine I have 2-Stainless and 1- Aluminum builds with them hosts now.

Hi,
Here is an addition to the X4S Gary will be offering this pill is great for this host. But you will have to order the tapered extended copper heat sink for it to work in the build. I swapped the opened brass pill for this one in my preorder.

Hey Im sure they will be awesome Gary make some great stuff . Noob just order it I'm sure you won't be disappointed . I just swapped the new pill for the brass one in the pre order..
