Should be finishing the PL450B in a laser66 today as soon as the mail delivers a couple x-boosts. Or not. Blew when it shouldn't have according to the testing information. Not happy about it. Ordered another:(

No fancy custom pen here, but a nice little Jetlasers pen series 532nm 100mW unit. I've had this for awhile now and it's still going strong.
A note of concern here; I just went to the J/L site, and under their "pen laser series" they show "No products in this catagory", hopefully just out of stock.

Going to bed but yes, I have some gold ones. Will show a lot of finished pen builds soon as all the important ones are finished.
That Jetlaser looks really great Jeff. You are also good at taking nice clear shots. I need more patience for my pics. I want a closeup of the mantle burn marks:D. Also one of your wife's face when you show her lol

Thanks Pete.
No burn marks here, I don't burn things, I just "distress" them, to give them that "antique" appearance.
You know the line; "no honey, that's not a burn mark, I think that's been on there for awhile". :)

Update: Bad news, I just looked at Jetlasers site, and the "pen series" doesn't say "no products in this catagory" anymore, as a matter of fact, there is NO pen series even listed; gone.
Also, unfortunately there seems to be no more of my favorite lasers; the classic "Ti-B" titanium beauties seem to be history. :cryyy:

Figured. Just not surprised anymore when big players keep dropping out of this type of market because of the potential troubles.
The laserbtb pens may be a bit plain but they still look and feel nice to me. I want to get the one I'm missing. Don't have a 405nm from them and they sell an 80mW one for about 30 bucks although the shipping is about $12 I believe. That 6% off coupon still works. Can't decide if I want to go with the white paint or not. Do like that they sell that little tripod pen holder with the thumb wheel to push the button in. They run at about $13. Take a look at their stuff as they have a few pulsed or hi/lo switched units too if you want to get in on anything Jeff.

Just saw that too---yes, seems to be the end of TiB. Probably will never see anything like them again --- cost to make and limited market meant very little profit for JetLasers in making them.
To be fair they were available for much longer than JetLasers planned originally---so everyone had a chance to get one.
You have to love JetLasers for actually producing such a beautiful series as TiB. Who else would even consider making such things?

I am lucky, as are you, to have 3 wavelengths---I had Jet make me 2 sets of 445nm-300mW, 532nm-200mW, and 638nm-200mW examples of TIB.
I bought the second set as a backup because I liked them so much but eventually gave away the second set as gifts over time. Wish I had kept them, really, however, the set I kept continues to function perfectly and amaze people who have never seen such a thing.

I have to say they are favorites also and get a lot of use on an a regular basis, especially the TiB 532.
The titanium host is so high quality--beautifully/masterfully machined plus the small form factor and relatively low output make them so easily taken and used anywhere, they have been a joy to own and use.
Everyone I have shown them to was very impressed with the quality, feel , and function.
