That sounds awesome! I'm going to see if I can get the measurements today. Is there anything else spec. wise you'll need to know? I know it takes two 18350's and its negative side to tail cap but I don't know if that's TMI lol. thanks!

You may want to contact Spa. He has an Arcane with a dead 520nm diode that he is willing to sell with the driver already wired. All you would have to do is install your module and solder 2 wires. Easiest solution to your problem.

Looks like the driver is in the heat sink because it has the spring on the back if that's the case all you have to do is drop his head in it

There you go even easier. I was interested in buying this host but its one of Eitans shitty spray painted ones thats all chipped so I passed on it. He used to have them properly painted with aircraft paint but when eveything started going to shit he's just been spaying them not even using a primer. Lazy

Was just looking at your pic, if I'm not mistaken, that lens barrel looks like an acrylic type, if that is acrylic, do not use it with that 7w diode, it will melt and destroy it

If that lens barrel is solid black, it's acrylic, if it blackish gold, it's 3ele (glass) and ok to use. Looks really black in the pic. What lens did you order with this unit?

Hi Rich, were you talking about sending him an arcane or lens? He may still need the lens altho, if eitan sent him an acrylic lens in that unit, no telling what diode is in there

That guy is such a POS scammer if he used an acrylic lens I wouldn't be surprised.

Could we get a confirmation what type of lens this is. If its acrylic we need to make a thread letting people know to check their sci-fi lasers so they don't ruin the diode when the damn thing melts!

Sta any chance thats what happened to your diode?

No. It was a G-2 lens. If he decides to buy the host, I'm including the lens. :)

Hi V,
i thought he needed a 501B host i read the post to fast with one eye opened in the morning. hey if he needs a lens i have a 3 element i could ship him if he does not have one.

Follow up post! I just got the host from Sta (thanks again man!) and it was a perfect fit! While the housing worked perfectly, I'm thinking that the laser diode I got from Etian is not 7w... I put it aside my 1.5w Arctic and they were the exact same brightness and had the same burning power and running it for a minute didn't even warm up the heat sink. nothing that can really be done there, and now that he's AWOL kind of a crappy spot to be in lol. But thank you all for the very informative and quick responses. maybe I'll go lurk around the diode modding side of LPF to see if there's a way to mod this thing up. cheers!

you'll kill the diode by modding it. you see there is a screw on the side of the threaded heat sink. loosen the screw pull the module out order a 7 watt module from dtr and the rest is history.
