This build has the largest heatsink in my collection made by Rich. Its an aluminum shell with a copper core. The focus ring has been threaded for a Sanwu beam expander. The diode in this host is a NUBM07 with the stock can intact. Its powered by the Blackbuck 8 amp driver, 2 26350 batteries, and has a 3.75 turn 10k ohm Bourne potentiometer with a brass knob also made by Rich. I don't have a power rating due to killing the LPM sensor while testing (won't be testing HP gball diodes anymore).

Update: replacement LPM arrived new 20w sensor and terminal board along with a replacement sensor for the original board. The new unit read a little more optimistic than I thought was acceptable and Astralist worked with me to get it calibrated. It's now reading within acceptable results. This build is putting out a healthy 6+W. To boot I lucked out and received a NUBM07 that has a damn good stock lens focus. Very similar to the 06 I have. I'll get the measurements up here when I get the time, rough eyeballing 3"X1"@30'. The Sanwu 3x BE whips it right into shape. :D
I'll have to dig up that thread with the gball diode comparisons and scale to them to honesty compare. Feel free to link it to me if you have it bookmarked.

This is a 14500 host that I have modded to work with the 510 modules. The host is 22mm in diameter so the 22nd 510 connector plate fit nicely. Cleaned off the battery board and wired up the connection plate. Secured the plate to the bezel retainer ring with 2 part epoxy. Worked out well. I ordered 6 14250 batteries for this host. Seems to handle the NDG7475 @ 1.8a just fine along with the other <2w setups I have.

Damn dden, that's one heck of a "ray gun" you've got there, good job!
I really like the all silver look look with the built in beam expander, very nice.

IDK, Dan. I don't think you have adequate heat sinking on that Black Buck 8 A driver. Could use maybe another one squeezed in somehow. Two nice looking builds. Thanks for sharing them here.

Very nice dden! Love these builds with the poteniometer on them. Makes my heart pitter patter. :D

Curious, how did you kill your LPM senor? Burn It? :(
